Whitesands Beach is a couple of miles from St Davids City on the west coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales.

It is overlooked by the craggy hill of Garn Llidi, with St Davids Head to the north west, and looks out across the sea to Ramsey Island.

Whitesands is one of the best surfing beaches in Wales.

Close to a mile long at low tide, Whitesands is popular with surfers, families and children (who especially enjoy the rock pools).

There is ample parking (car park run by St Davids City Council £6 daily car charge 2024), a café (St Davids City Council), public toilets with shower (Pembrokeshire County Council 40p charge for entry), and a campsite right next to the beach (Whitesands Camping).

The views are spectacular all around, with Ramsey Island and the Atlantic in front of you (west), Garn Llidi mountain behind you (north), a 9 hole links Golf Course set above the beach.

Nearest other facilities are in the city of St Davids about two miles away: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Visitor Centre (open all year), numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants, many interesting shops and a good choice of hotels.
